The song is translated in English as follows:

My situation is worth thanking Jesus, the wonder worker
My situation is worth giving praise, help me rejoice
Jesus has done a big thing in my life
The Saviour has done wonders in my life
My situation is worth thanking Jesus, the wonder worker
My situation is worth giving praise, help me rejoice

Thank you Jesus, I’m grateful Father
The keeper of His word, I am very thankful
The Devil meant sorrow to befall my life
He attacked me with sickness, but my Father has healed me
Satan has fallen into the pit he dug!
The intention of the devil did not come to pass in my life
Help me rejoice, The Father has done well in my life
Let us together praise God, the most Glorious!
You have won the battle for me, HALLELUYAH!!!

Thank you Jesus, I am grateful
The One that loves me most, I am indeed grateful
The enemy devised shame to fall upon my life
The Lord has triumph over the battle of the enemy in my workplace
Satan was given the negative write-up he wrote against me
The plans of the enemy did not materialise in my life
Help me sing, the Lord has done well for me
Let us praise the Lord, the one that loves us most!
You have turned my sorrow into Joy!
HALLELUYAH!!!

Happy The Home When God is There

Happy the home when God is there,
and love fills every breast;
when one their wish, and one their prayer,
and one their heavenly rest.

Happy the home where Jesus' name
is sweet to every ear;
where children early lisp His fame,
and parents hold Him dear.

Happy the home where prayer is heard,
and praise is wont to rise;
where parents love the sacred Word
that makes us truly wise.

Lord, let us in our homes agree,
this blessed peace to gain;
unite our hearts in love to Thee,
and love to all will reign.

(Henry Wale, 1794 - 1843)

Our Children, Lord, In Faith and Prayer

Our children, Lord, In faith and prayer
we now present to Thee;
let them Thy covenant mercies share,
and Thy salvation see.

Such helpless babes Thou didst embrace,
while dwelling here below;
to us and ours, O God of grace,
the same compassion show.

In early days their hearts secure
from worldly snares we pray;
and may they to the end endure,
in every righteous way.

Before them let their parents live
in godly faith and fear,
then, Lord, to heaven their souls receive,
and bring their children there.

(Thomas Haweis 1733 - 1820)

O Lord My God

O Lord my God, I stand and gaze in wonder
on the vast heavens Thy wisdom hath ordained;
sun, moon and stars continue at Thy pleasure,
from nothing called and by Thy power sustained.

O mighty God, my heart cries out to Thee:
How great Thou art! how great Thou art!
Thy praise shall sound throughout eternity:
How great Thou art! how great Thou art!

Sometimes I hear the heavens rent by thunder,
or see dread lightning leap across the sky,
then in the cloud I see the promised rainbow
stilling my fears with mercy from on high.

This heart once heard the voice of angels singing -
this earth that wept the day that Adam fell -
for Jesus came from purest heights of glory,
an infant weak, to break the powers of hell.

Nailed to a tree, the great creator suffered
when that dread weight of foulest sin He bear.
Lo! Satan flees! the Lord of glory triumphs!
Nothing can with this mighty love compare.

(Eluned Harrison, b. 1934 based on Carl Gustaf Boberg 1856 - 1940)

Heavenly Father, Our Creator

Heavenly Father, Our Creator,
all You made declares Your praise;
source of life and light eternal,
endless love for endless days.
You have made us in your image,
shaped and formed us from the clay,
marred by sin we bow before You,
now remake us, Lord, we pray.

Jesus Christ, God's son, our Saviour,
seated at the Father's side;
You have come and shared our weakness,
for our sins You bled and died.
Now You reign in heavenly glory,
we on earth Your praises sing;
help us tell the wondrous story
of our risen, exalted King.

Holy Spirit, for our comfort,
poured on earth from heaven above;
gift of grace and hope of glory,
in our hearts form perfect love.
Daily make us more than Jesus,
grant that we, His church, be one,
one in truth and one in purpose,
that your will on earth be done.

Father, Son and Holy Spirit,
we in Christ approach your throne,
freed from fear of condemnation,
called to worship You alone.
Three in One, eternal Godhead,
let us know Your will today,
by Your Grace, empower, enfold us,
lead us gladly to obey.

(Andrew J Goddard, b. 1967)

How Firm a Foundation

How firm a foundation, you saints of the Lord,
is laid for your faith in His excellent Word!
What more can He say than to you he has said -
you, who unto Jesus for refuge have fled?

In every condition - in sickness, in health.
in poverty's vale, or abounding in wealth;
at home or abroad, on the land, on the sea,
as days may demand, shall your strength ever be.

'Fear not, I am with you, O be not dismayed!
I, I am your God, and will still give you aid:
I'll strengthen you, help you, and cause you to stand,
upheld by My righteous, omnipotent hand.

'When through the deep waters I cause you to go,
the rivers of grief shall not you overflow;
for I will be with you, your troubles to bless,
and sanctify to you your deepest distress.

'When through fiery trials your pathway shall lie,
my grace all-sufficient shall be your supply;
the flame shall not hurt you: I only design
your dross to consume, and your gold to refine.

'The soul that on Jesus has leaned for repose
I will not, I will not desert to its foes;
that soul, though all hell should endeavour to shake,
I'll never, no never, no never forsake!'

('K' in Rippon's Selection, 1787)

The Heroes of Scripture

The heroes of Scripture
with hearts full of faith,
their eyes on the city,
engaged in the race.
With hope in the promise,
encouraged to see
invisible glories
and joys yet to be.

Consider your mighty Saviour King.
enduring the cross,
and run with a holy joyful strength
the race to the last.

Each hindrance discarded
and sin laid aside,
with patient endurance
see Christ as your price.
The hardships you suffer,
your sorrows and care,
though painful at present
will righteousness bear.

The Jesus who called you
the race to begin,
is waiting to crown you
when glory you win.
Let hands be uplifted,
let strength flow from grace,
with Christ as your champion
you'll finish the race.

(John Tindall, b. 1942)

Hope Will Rise Lyrics

Chorus:
Faithful forever are you God, are you God
Merciful healer are you God, are you God
Mighty redeemer, are you God, are you God
Shield and defender, are you God, are you God
Faithful forever are you God, are you God
Merciful healer, are you God, are you God
Mighty redeemer, are you God, are you God
Shield and defender, are you God, are you God

What can wash away my sins?
Nothing but the blood of Jesus!
What can make me whole again?
Nothing but the blood of Jesus!

We stand here in your presence, lifting up the name of JESUS.
Oh strong tower meant to save us and now nothing will defeat us.
We are boldly interceding, for our children lost and bleeding.
We'll see slavery bow to freedom, and the sick restored to healing.
So we fight for those who've fallen, and we take back what's been stolen.
Though our families shamed and broken, HOPE WILL RISE and hearts will open.
We'll see joy defeat depression, liberation from addiction.
For when we are at  our weakest, then your power is completed.

In Christ Alone

In Christ alone my hope is found,
He is my light, my strength, my song;
This Cornerstone, this solid Ground,
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm.
What heights of love, what depths of peace,
When fears are stilled, when striving cease
My Comforter, my all in all,
Here in the love of Christ I stand.

In Christ alone! who took on flesh
Fullness of God in helpless babe!
This gift of love and righteousness
Scorned by the ones he came to save:
Till on that cross as Jesus died,
The wrath of God was satisfied
For every sin on Him was laid;
Here in the death of Christ I live.

There in the ground His body lay
Light of the world by darkness slain:
Then bursting forth in glorious Day
Up from the grave he rose again!
And as He stands in victory
Sin's curse has lost its grip on me,
For I am His and He is mine -
Bought with the precious blood of Christ.

No guilt in life, no fear in death,
This is the power of Christ in me;
From life's first cry to final breath.
Jesus commands my destiny.
No power of hell, no scheme of man,
Can ever pluck me from His hand;
Till He returns or calls me home,
Here in the power of Christ I'll stand.

Welcome

Welcome!

This blog is a collection of my favorite christian songs together with their lyrics. They are majorly worship songs, gospel songs in Yoruba dialect and ECWA (Evangelical Church Winning All) songs. We would surely be blessed!
